Check hydraulics, clean brake shoes and pads. Adjust shoes; Install and re-torque wheels. Adjust tire pressure; Check master cylinder operation & fluid levels. Road test, note brake life percentage on repair order; Check fluid condition or contamination.

Why: Brakes are the most important safety device on your car. Inspecting your brakes regularly for wear and damage can protect you and your passengers, while saving you money by catching any damage before it becomes too costly.

Any of the following symptoms may be an indication of brake problems. If you notice one (or more), it’s a good idea to get your brakes inspected as soon as possible:

  • Pulling to one side when braking
  • Soft brake pedal
  • Brake pedal pulsates
  • Brakes make scraping or grinding noise
  • More pressure than normal required to stop
  • Noise when brakes are applied
  • Brakes drag when foot is off the pedal

Brake noise is not always indicative of a problem but should be inspected as a precaution.
