Motor Age Magazine – The Top Shop in the Nation 2013
Each year Motor Age Magazine, a leading automotive magazine, reviews shops from all across the United States. We are proud that after three years in the Top Ten, we were named the Top Shop in the Nation in 2013. With thousands of great auto repair shops across the country, we are very proud to have been chosen for this prestigious award.
This award was given after Motor Age evaluated our experience, training and education, shop operations, supplier relations, marketing, website presence, aftermarket involvement, community activities, technical offerings and appearance of the shop.
Even though we aren’t eligible to receive this award again, we will continue to strive to be our best to uphold this worthy designation.
Top Ten Auto Repair Shop Award 2010, 2011 and 2012
The (ELP) -is a voluntary program, within the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), designed to recognize and reward organizations and businesses that demonstrate superior environmental performance and, as a result, consistently operate at a level that goes beyond mere compliance with environmental regulations. We achieved the Silver level in 2013 and are working towards the Gold level.
EnergySmart Business Innovation Award
In 2012 we were awarded the Boulder County Commissioners EnergySmart Business Award in the Innovation category for “best cutting edge and unique energy efficient technology installed at a business.”
Voted Best Auto Repair Shop/Service Department Runner Up by the readers of the Daily Camera for 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014. This year, we were voted Best Auto Repair and Best Oil Change!

ASE Blue Seal of Excellence
ASE takes certification one step further by recognizing highly qualified repair facilities through their Blue Seal of Excellence Program. The program’s emphasis is to identify establishments with a large percentage of ASE-certified professionals and a commitment to excellence. It recognizes the businesses striving to be best overall through a commitment to provide certification opportunities and on-going training for their staffs. Pellman’s Automotive has been an ASE Blue Seal shop for as long as the designation has been available.
BBB Gold Star Certificate for Customer Satisfaction
Given to companies who adhere to the BBB’s Standards of Trust, and have had no complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau for 36 consecutive months. Winner, 2000-2014 (Every year since we have been eligible.)
CARQUEST Excellence Award
Pellman’s was a two-time nominee for the CARQUEST Excellence Award, finishing in the Top 10 in 2007 (the final year this award was given.) This award recognized independent automobile service businesses that demonstrated excellence in the Automotive Repair Industry. The award was based on such criteria as customer service, training and certifications, community involvement, shop appearance and industry involvement.
Automotive Management Institute Accreditation
The Automotive Management Institute is the leading provider of management education for the automotive service industry. After completing 120 credits of AMI education, along with a requisite self-study course, Brad and Lisa have both earned AMI’s Automotive Manager accreditation, a designation they are very proud of.
