"I found these guys when my Tire-Rack drop-ship tire installer retired and referred his customers to Pellman's. Sure, they'd do the tire installation. A bit like happened for Gilbert and Sullivan's Ruler of the Queen's Navy, I edged my way into having them do more and more work on our cars. They have been absolutely super. Friendly, pro-active, personal, fast, fair -- they've been just what I want in a car repair shop. E.g. they replaced a Ford part (the turn-signal switch) when it failed within a year after its originally being replaced; no labor cost, and I don't think they recovered the cost of the part from Ford, either. Another time, Eric (a mechanic who's been with them for a long time) sold me an air conditioning compressor he had lying around the house, for a lot less than I'd have had to pay for a new one. This was just fine because the car's a 1988 CRX that I don't maintain in as-new condition.
